#2. Our family tries to follow the platinum rule which is: Treat others the way THEY want to be treated.

Here is an example: My mom likes breakfast in bed and dad does not. So for Father’s day we do not give him breakfast in bed, but on Mother’s day we do bring my mom breakfast in bed.

 

When I was little, our family went to a cookie party.  At the party everyone brought a type of cookie with the recipe.  Here is the cookie and recipe we brought.

Cake Cookies

1/2 cup Butter

1 cup Sugar

1/2 cup Sour Cream

1 Egg

1/2 teaspoon Vanilla

2 1/4 Flour

1/4 teaspoon Salt

2 teaspoons Baking powder

1/4 teaspoon Baking soda.

 

1. Cream the butter, sugar and sour cream together

2.  Add vanilla and egg

3. Sift and mix flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda together

4.  Mix everything together

5.  Use a cookie scooper and put on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes @375 degrees.
